A Country Christmas Day

It was a warm and windy Christmas afternoon in small town Shepparton, wearing this free flowing Decjuba dress perfect for post lunch. The print may look familiar to you if you read my Caulfield Cup post, featuring a dress of the same print in a vivid emerald green. Thank you to my wonderful cousin Ashlee for taking these photographs. Hope you all enjoyed Christmas with your family and friends. Now time to bring in the New Year!

Sportsgirl Retro Parlour

This month the vintage section at Sportsgirl Chadstone had a revamp into a retro 50's style parlour. Also bringing in some new goodies including retro printed dresses and high waisted denim cut offs. The red stripped milk shake straws are the same style as the ones I had for my 50s themed 21st two months ago, so I clearly love this whole set up.

Winter Flashback

Photographs taken on the streets of Brunswick a few months ago, while Melbourne was still in its chilly winter. It makes me thankful that summer is beginning now! I've always said how much I despise winter but I actually love all the fashion...boots, coats, chunky scarves and beanies. Here I'm wearing head to toe Sportsgirl from the winter collection.

50s Cocktail

Last month marked my 21st birthday, so what better way to celebrate than to have a 50s cocktail themed party complete with retro candy and red velvet cupcakes. It's no secret that I'm obsessed with 1950's style so I just loved seeing my friends dolled up. I found the perfect dress at Review, full of feminine silhouettes and prints which are perfect for the vintage inspired style I was after. Just add pearls, red lipstick, curled locks and I was set.

Minty Meets Munt

The vibrant print of this Minty Meets Munt shift jumped out at me on the racks at Emma & Eves vip night. Lucky enough to get a sweet discount so I had to grab it. Paired with a touch of neon pink nails, hot pink lips and the chartreuse water pearl bracelet I received in the gift bag from the night, which coincidentally happened to be the perfect colour.

Emma & Eve

Last Tuesday night Emma & Eve boutique held their vip night, offering sweet discounts and treats to guests. Hidden just off Glenferrie Road in the Troubadour Arcade in Hawthorn, the delightful little store includes brands Minty Meets Munt, Nookie, Finders Keepers and Lola vs Harper. A wonderful collection of colour and graphic prints, I quickly grabbed a few pieces to try. I bought an amazing printed shift from Minty Meets Munt which had my name written all over it! I'll share photos of the dress with you all soon.

Fashions On The Field

Caulfield Cup is an exciting day of racing, however for me the whole day involved fashions on the field rather than horses. There were many rounds for the women's 18-40 age group, so here are some of the looks.
You can view more of the photographs from the day on the facebook page here.

Colour At Caulfield

Saturday was a beautiful day at the Caulfield Cup, filled with bold colours, prints and so many gorgeous fascinators. I took hundreds of photographs at fashions on the field which I'll share with you on my next post. For now, here's the outfit I wore for the day, this graphic print dress from Decjuba I spotted on the Chadstone vip runway last month. I decided not to go super formal for the day because I wanted to be comfortable while taking photos for hours on end. I was pleased with a simple cut where the focus is just on the great print, paired with a pop of colour with the orange clutch.

Wearing: Decjuba dress, Lovisa fascinator, Zu heels, Sportsgirl clutch and ring.

My friend Jessica is wearing a dress from Bettina Liano and fascinator from David Jones. I love the two bright colours she paired together. All the brands here are from Chadstone, I actually bought my entire outfit on my one hour lunch break!
